Corporate Social Responsibility

Educating our people and our local area. Here at The Ford Engineering Group, we take pride in our corporate responsibility, and we regularly partake in activities which we feel will benefit Tyneside, as we have sites in both North and South Tyneside. We are ‘IIP Gold’ accredited by Investors in People – building strong relationships and inspiring and challenging employees at all levels, so they can deliver what our business needs now and in the future.

With a strong family heritage, we believe we have a responsibility to nurture and educate our existing staff as well as create opportunities for the future of Ford. Because of this, we have developed several internal initiatives including the Robert Ford Memorial Prize and Ford Engineering Academy. We also have a major commitment to apprenticeships and work experience – school visits are always welcome.

The Ford Engineering Group are proud members of the South Tyneside Workplace Health Alliance and Advanced Manufacturing Forum.

We Support Worthwhile Causes

Working together to help projects we are passionate about. As a group at Ford Engineering, we believe it is important to support worthwhile causes in the community as well as national and international organisations.

Whether this involves organising charity events or promoting fundraising efforts, we work extremely hard to make sure that we generate awareness and support to companies that will benefit from our help. So much so, we have introduced our very own Ford Charities Health & Wellbeing Committee. The committee oversees our charitable efforts on a regular basis and develops new fundraising ideas as well as providing health and wellbeing advice for our employees and their families.
