Excellence is standard at Ford Aerospace

Ford Aerospace Ltd has demonstrated its commitment to its workforce’s health and wellbeing after receiving the highest possible accreditation in a recent review.
The manufacturing business received the ‘maintaining excellence – ambassador status’ award for the second consecutive year in the Better Health at Work Awards (BHAWA); a regional initiative designed to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage employers to consider the health of its employees.
Ford Aerospace is a passionate advocate of the BHAWA programme.
Assessors praised Ford Aerospace for its on-going commitment to health and wellbeing which is clearly supported by its Wellbeing Committee and health advocates, as well as its many proactive campaigns.

This includes a proactive wellbeing policy. The policy considers employees mental health, access to training and individual activities such as wellbeing walks and sporting and celebratory events.
In addition, the company is also a big supporter of several community organisations and local charities. Working with them to raise funds for good causes as well as supporting STEM activities. This is does through its work with activities with schools and colleges. Ford Aerospace also has its own Apprenticeship Academy which is helping to highlight the many benefits of a career in manufacturing and engineering.
To ensure activities remain focused the company conducts an annual employee engagement survey. Designed to provide valuable feedable on a range of areas from communication and career opportunities to quality of life and strategy & leadership.

Ford Aerospace first joined the BHAWA programme in 2019. It has continued to go from strength by continuing to invest in this area. One of the key milestones was the establishment of its Wellbeing Committee who help guide and develop campaigns.
